An Award-Winning Anniversary Year

McCaffery Interests started 25 years ago in 1991 with two dedicated employees and a unique determination to develop high-quality real estate. Today, our services have grown to include the investment, development, leasing, managing and selling of valuable real estate assets, with more than 50 talented employees in two regional offices. Guided by our mission to meet and exceed investor expectations, inspire the surrounding community with thoughtful, creative and economically balanced solutions, and foster sustainable development and smart urban growth, we are proud to have transformed under-utilized real estate into more than 20 million square feet of dynamic, forward-thinking properties.

To mark this milestone anniversary, we established the McCaffery Interests, Inc. Fund for Real Estate Entrepreneurship to support the study of urban real estate development at the Roosevelt University Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate, one of the largest graduate real estate programs in the country. Our Founder & CEO Dan McCaffery and President Ed Woodbury were recently honored with the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate Lifetime Industry Leadership Award for their impact on the real estate industry over the past 25 years.

And as if that wasn’t enough to celebrate, our video Full Circle: The Barack Obama Presidential Library at Chicago Lakeside Development, won two Emmys for Outstanding Writing and Editing at the 57^th Annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards Ceremony. The documentary tells the story of the old South Works steel plant and the master plan for the vacant land on which it used to reside. In partnership with Chicago production company Bitter Jester Creative, Full Circle was nominated in a total of six categories.

Needless to say, we’re greatly honored by these awards and the ongoing recognition of our work. We look forward to what the next 25 years has in store!
