Celebrating W.E. O’Neil & Landmarks Illinois at Annual Celebration

Friends of McCaffery Interests, Landmarks Illinois, recognized three civic and cultural leaders at its eleventh annual Legendary Landmarks Celebration held on March 7. Dan McCaffery, event co-chair, presented the Corporate Legendary Landmark Award to long-time partner, W.E. O’Neil for its leadership in sustainable building practices and portfolio of landmark renovation projects, including The Chicago, Oriental, Palace and Auditorium Theatres, Soldier Field and the Medinah Temple Bloomingdale’s.

“It was an honor to be asked to introduce W.E. O’Neil Construction and its chairman, Michael Faron,” said Dan McCaffery. “I take particular pleasure in hearing and knowing the story surrounding family companies that have succeeded through multiple generations. After 90 successful years, it is fair to say they are most deserving of the Landmark designation, both for longevity and for their quality of work.”

McCaffery Interests has had the pleasure of working with W.E. O'Neil on Flair Tower and The British International School of Chicago's South Loop Campus.
