McCaffery announced today a joint venture with Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO), to purchase Encore Apartments, a 151-unit Class A building in Downtown Pittsburgh. McCaffery will provide property management services and oversee unit upgrades to the luxury high-rise building, previously known as The Encore on 7th. In addition, McCaffery will serve as commercial broker to lease the ground-level retail space.

"Envy Premier Nail Spa will be opening a 1,900-square-foot salon this summer in the 1,533-foot-long Strip landmark that has been redeveloped into retail and restaurant space by Chicago-based McCaffery Interests," reports Mark Belko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "The local company, with salons in Mount Lebanon, South Fayette and Upper St. Clair, becomes the fifth tenant to sign on to take space in the 163,500-square-foot warehouse as part of the $62.6 million rehab."
