Developers to bring nearly 1,000 new units to Chicago’s former Ickes Homes

The redevelopment of the former site of the Harold L. Ickes Homes public housing project has begun the process of gaining city approval. Design plans for the 11.3-acre South Loop parcel must pass the Plan Commission and City Council before any work can begin.
