Officials share plans, progress on Springfield's downtown revitalization

McCaffery Interests Inc. President Edward Woodbury detailed plans to create ground-level retail with housing on the floors above at both the Clocktower Building and Colonial Block, adding approximately 100 living units of varying size. Sheehan described the businesses on the ground floor as “curated” retail and commercial. The Stockbridge Building would house a lobby and amenities and services for the apartments, including the leasing office, mail room and fitness center. Stockbridge Street would be made into a pedestrian-friendly way and the rooftop of the Stockbridge Building would be “activated” for use, Woodbury added.

McCaffery Interests is poised to fill out an open block of property in the heart of the Strip District into what's likely to be the neighborhood's largest new residential development. The Pittsburgh Planning Commission voted to approve McCaffery's new Brickworks project proposed for a fully cleared 3.45-acre site on Smallman next to the company's fully redeveloped Strip District Terminal.

Oxford Development Co. has announced the name of its newest multi-family development in Pittsburgh: Coda on Centre. Located at 5765 Centre Ave. and managed by McCaffery Interests, the 172-unit complex will offer studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartment homes built to LEED Silver standards, and is scheduled to deliver in Spring 2018.
